Yoga means yoke, unite of to connect an internal level. It connects one with their true self that is known as ultimate self, divine essence and Atman. To explain you in a deeper sense, here are the most essential eight limbs of yoga.
- Yama
This part is bent toward moral vows, moral disciplines and restraints. The main concern of the first limb is about the world around us. In addition to this, it keeps the check on interaction. There is no doubt that yoga has the power to maintain calmness and improve flexibility and strength. It also helps in keeping rigidity and stiffness out of your life.
- Niyama
The second limb focuses on the observances and positive duties on have to follow. It is about directing the duties and maintain actions on the yogic path. The actual meaning of the word niyama is within or inward. It consists of five parts, saucha, satosha, tapas, svadhyaya and isvarapranidaha.
- Asana
It is the third part of the eight limbs that shows the road to freedom. The word is about the honest and not some asana. It is deeper than we can think about since it gives us more idea about the comfortable and steady body.
- Pranayama
This part of yoga is focused on our breathing, it can be the flow and collect the life source at a single point to attain peace. It is meant to attract the energy and let it flow to a single point. This single point becomes focal through which one can improve their focus and concentration in a simple manner.
- Pratyahara
It is the practice of yoga that is based on the drawback, draw in, etc. In a sense, it is about the withdrawal from the outer world and focusing on the smells, sounds, and sights. It can be asana or some medical practice to get an insight into the inner self.
- Dharana
The term is all about the concentration. In other words, it is mainly focused on the maintaining or holding on to something else or other. This limb is combined off closely with pratyahara and shares common properties with it.
- Dhyana
The seventh limb out of eight limbs of yoga is mainly focused on the meditative absorption. When our body is meditating then the focus point of our internal energies is absorbed and we can have a spontaneous reaction over our body.
- Samadhi
This is all about enlightenment or bliss that can take you on a new journey. This can keep your relationship and you self-organised by spreading inner peace to the bottom of your soul. It is about realization about your inner self to get a better intake of life.
